From Tanzania and Zanzibar to the UK and Europe

Vindra's African Gems works in cooperation and profit-sharing with the Maasai Volunteering Solution, an NGO based in Tanzania. The pieces in this shop are made by Maasai women in the village of Engikaret, as well as other local communities across Tanzania and Zanzibar — bracelets, earrings, coasters and small caskets threaded bead by bead, and Kitenge fabric cut into pouches, bags and cushion covers.
Because each item is handmade rather than machine-produced, small variations in colour and shape are normal — a sign of the hands that made it, not a flaw.
